G'day,

On a 64bit OS, the following will analyse the reports in a reporting server on the local machine, using the default URL for reporting services.  It will save the information into a database called unt0BIMetaData on a local instance called SQL2008R2.

"C:\Program Files (x86)\SQLServerMetadataToolkit\Dependency Analyzer 2008\DependencyAnalyzer.exe" /depDb:"Server=.\SQL2008R2;database=unt0BIMetaData;Integrated Security=SSPI;" /r+ /b+ /skipSSIS+ /matchDBOnly- /skipAS+ /skipRS- /rpt:"http://localhost/reportserver?/"

Or, use the Dependency Executor, and tick the Enumerate Reports check box (and untick the Enumerate SSIS Packages one). Then on the reports tab, enter the URL for your report server, like: http://localhost/ReportServer_SQL2008R2, then in the Path box, add any lower level pathing that you wish to use.  Hit the Add button on the bottom of the form, and then select the appropriate Analyse button...

I want to read the reports from the following path

http://server/Reports/Pages/Folder.aspx?ItemPath=%2fabcd%2fxyz%2fTemplate&ViewMode=List

What needs to be entered in URL and Path fields?

URL = http://server/ReportServer

Path = /abcd/xyz/

Command Line:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\SQLServerMetadataToolkit\Dependency Analyzer 2008\DependencyAnalyzer.exe" /depDb:"Server=.\SQL2008R2;database=unt0BIMetaData;Integrated Security=SSPI;" /r+ /b+ /skipSSIS+ /matchDBOnly- /skipAS+ /skipRS- /rpt:"http://server/reportserver?/abcd/xyz/"

Thanks a lot Keith :) I was passing "Reports" instead of "ReportServer" in the URL

Keith,

DO you have any documentation on SQL Server Metadata toolkit?

Only what's on the Documentation tab...
